Glimpse back in time 1974, a short BBC film of the village

The first shots are from a moving car and show an'crinkle crankle' wall. There is an aerial shot of this wall. There is a shot of Harriers Walk, a modern housing estate. People playing golf and Jean Goodman talks to a woman whose swimming pool is filled with lots of small plastic balls.

The main feature of the film is the Easton Harriers Hunt Kennels. There are shots of the kennel grounds, including the round house, also exercising the hounds. The hounds can be heard barking as they walk through the village, the 'huntsman' explains that the dogs work for five days a fortnight and work with the hunt for eight or nine seasons. They are paired with an older hound for training at six to eight months. They begin hunting at eighteen months. They all have individual names. As they walk through the village the dogs are fairly well under control, although some wander over gardens. At the kennels, Jean Goodman is shown some of the puppies. There are other shots of animals including ducklings, geese and a white peacock. The final shots are of a water mill. On the river there are swans and cygnets.
